Golf tournament to benefit Shelburne SharksRCR Entertainment of Ontario, Canada will be hosting it's first Annual Golf Fundraiser on August 30th. Raised funds will benefit the Shelburne Sharks and Orangeville Ice Crushers Jr. ‘A' Hockey Club. The days' activities will be hosted at the Shelburne Golf & Country Club, which is located in Shelburne, Ontario on Saturday August 30th, with an 11 a.m. registration and noon start time. Each golfer will enjoy Shelburne Golf & CC's beautiful 18 hole course with a cart. While on the course, golfers will have the chance to enter competitions such as; the longest drive, closest to the pin & hole-in-one. Proceeding the golf tournament, RCR Entertainment will host a cocktail hour and silent auction, door prizes, and golf related prizes. Dinner will be a banquet sit down style dinner with the choice of a delicious steak or juicy chicken breast, with two sides and a salad. With the addition of 9 tee decks which expanded the course by 23 yards in the past few years, the challenge has been increased for the lower handicapped and long-hitting players. Playing enhancements and the addition of 400 trees were completed on four holes in 2007 to speed up play and provide visual definition to the bunkers, water hazards and fairways. The automatic irrigation system was also expanded to improve the overall condition and playability of the course. Shelburne Golf & CC has one of the finest practice facilities in Southern Ontario, which includes a 10,000 square foot putting and chipping green with practice bunkers, and a one third of an acre grassed tee area with six strategically placed target greens.
