Respected veteran of community theatre returns to the Shelburne stage

With Fred Carmichael's The Trouble with Trent, Denis Stephenson returns to directing a Tipling Stage Company production five years after he last presented a ‘season opener' in Shelburne.
Actively involved in community theatre for more than sixty years, Denis's first appearance – as a young boy, no less – was in a production of the Hamilton Players Guild, the oldest community theatre group in North America. Past president of Burlington Little Theatre, Bramalea Live Theatre and Caledon Town Hall Players, Denis is well-versed in all aspects of theatre from acting and directing to stage managing and set construction, and everything in between. He will be remembered by Shelburne audiences as the father of the bride in Plaza Suite, the father of the groom in There Goes the Bride, the lawyer in Deathtrap and was the Tipling Stage Company's best Dame ever in the pantomime, Aladdin. He directed Derek Benfield's A Bird in the Hand at this time five years ago.
Tipling Stage Company presents The Trouble with Trent at Grace Tipling Hall, Shelburne October 16th, 17th, 23rd & 24th at 8 p.m. and October 18th at 2 p.m. Tickets are available online at www.tiplingstagecompany.com or from Shelburne Town Hall.
