Musician Devin Cuddy pictured here will be part of a busy schedule of events at Dufferin County Museum in October. Other guests included Order of Canada recipient and radio host Andy Barrie who has a retirement home in Dufferin County. Andy Barrie will speak about Dufferin this Sunday, October 4th from 2–3 p.m. along side a celebration of Dufferin music with artifact display, and Jeremy Taggart of the internationally acclaimed band Our Lady Peace. Taggart will present an all-ages drum demonstration. Other musical guests will be Canadian artists Emm Gryner & Devin Cuddy, and in the early evening (6 p.m.) there will be a discussion on song writing in a rural environment. Cost: regular admission prices for afternoon event; Evening Concert: $50 – limited tickets on sale, call 1-877-941-7787 – dinner included in ticket price. Sunday October 18th from 1–2 p.m. DCMA hosts a “Kids Only Sketching Workshop” with Mono Artist Gail Prussky; her art show “Raised in Captivity” will be opening November 1st in the Silo Gallery and runs until December 20th. Cost for Gail Prussky’s basic techniques of sketching and shading class is $10 and suitable for ages 8–12 years: “Create a 5-footed monster or draw a princess locked in a tower made of jelly donuts” and have it displayed in the DCMA Silo Gallery.
