Raising money for the animals

Spending your Sunday morning raising money for animals, is not everybody’s idea of how to spend your free time, but without a thought this is what Gabriella Iusi and her step-sister, Leah Kopas, did on Sunday September 20th with the kind permission of John at No Frills. These two vibrant young girls spent hours baking their goodies of cup cakes, chocolate chip cookies, cinnamon buns and lots more and decided they wanted to do some good for disadvantaged animals. Having both lost their own dear dog’s, Pooh Bear and Belle, they wanted to help in anyway they could, and decided monies raised would go for a good cause in memory of their dogs. They set up their stand and their array of cakes at No Frills, in Shelburne, and sold, for three hours constantly to passers by. They almost sold out of goods, and raised a grand total of $118 which they presented to The OSPCA in Orangeville. Well done to these kind hearted girls and thank you for the yummy cookies!
