Pickpockets caught on tape at Cookstown mall

On Sunday, October 4, a woman reported having her wallet stolen while shopping in the Tanger Outlet Mall. The woman told officers that she was shopping in the Tommy Hilfiger store around 4 p.m. when she hung up her purse and jacket while trying on clothes. A review of the store video shows a man and woman approach the victim. The man blocked the victim’s view while his female accomplice removed the victim’s wallet from her purse. A description of the suspects was not available, but stills from the video will be made public as the investigation continues.
