Their first league game against Midland, at the CDRC on Friday, October 9th, was a clear no contest game with a final score of 9–0 for Shelburne. The game was one sided as Shelburne's strong defence payed off, and goal tender (new to the Rep team this year) Joe Woollett, held tight, bringing home a shut out for his team. The Midget team worked well together and speed skating was the essence of the night – constantly controlling the puck and netting the nine goals. Shelburne gave Midland the run around and despite Midland's effort and shots on net they failed to score in the game. Goal scorers were Nathan Newmaster, Issac Fazackerley with a hat trick, Scott Decker two goals, Trent Downey, Stephen Falls, and Chayse McCallum. This year's team blended well and the mixture of different skills brought by each player, worked well and gave the team a confidence boost of what lies ahead for the season. The next game for the Midgets is this Friday, Oct. 16th at the Shelburne arena at 9:30 p.m. By Debbie Freeman --------------------------------------------------- Images: https://shelburnefreepress.ca/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Hockey-300x200.jpg --------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- Post date: 2015-10-15 22:33:13 Post date GMT: 2015-10-16 02:33:13 Post modified date: 2015-10-22 22:03:28 Post modified date GMT: 2015-10-23 02:03:28 ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Export of Post and Page as text file has been powered by [ Universal Post Manager ] plugin from www.gconverters.com
