One show that is a must attend this season is the 2nd Annual Holiday Craft & Gift Show being presented by My Crafty Neighbour Saturday November 21st at the Shelburne Legion from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. My Crafty Neighbour is owned by friends and neighbours Laura Meakings and Tara McCreadie. The two met by accident but keep telling each other it was fate. As stay at home mom's they discovered they shared the same hobby of creating home decor, homemade unique crafts, wooden signs, seasonal decor, baby and children items. The friendship has blossomed into a business partnership with their items now in local stores Pawzitive Pet Supplies, The Wicker Pig in Dundlak and More Then Just Baskets in Orangeville. This year Meakings and McCreadie will one again be accepting non perishable food donations at the entrance for the Sheppard's Cupboard Food Bank, as well this year they will be hosting a Fundraiser for Sick Kids Hospital, on behalf of Tara's brave niece who is only 8 month old and was recently diagnosed with a rare eye cancer called Retinoblastoma. This little girl has had her left eye removed due to the disease and continues to undergo Chemo Therapy in hopes of saving her right eye. Meakings and McCreadie will have a promotional draw will with all donations from it going straight to Sick Kids Foundation. Make sure to mark your calendar and come out for a great day of shopping with many local vendors with something for everyone! Remember to bring your camera to take a picture with Santa who will be available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and have a bite to eat as the Ladies Auxiliary will be selling hot food.
