By the time the teams got to the third period they were tied at one with both squads battling hard to get the go ahead goal for the night. Wolves forward Ty Murray scored the opening Shelburne goal on an assist from Tyler O'Neil. The Wolves pressed hard in the third period forcing much of the play into the Owen Sound zone and getting several chance around the Attack net. Owen Sound managed to score during a scramble in front of the Shelburne net in a wild fracas that saw Wolves goalie Cooper Cavey stop several shots before one found the back of the net and gave the visitors a 2–1 lead. Ty Murray got his second of the game midway in the third period when he deflected a shot into the Owen Sound net on an assist from Nolan Evason. With the clock clicking down in the final minutes of play, the game went into some back and forth action as the teams battled to settle the game before the buzzer sounded. The end came when Murray got the natural hattrick with his third goal of the night on an unassisted effort to give the Wolves a one goal lead late in the game. The Shelburne squad manage to hang on for the rest of the game and left the ice with a 3–2 win. The win give the Wolves rep team a 4–6 record for the season.
