“God bless us everyone”

Area actor, author and town crier, Andrew Welch will perform a one-man dramatic reading of a Christmas Carol to help raise funds for the Syrian family sponsored by the Headwaters' Refugee Sponsorship Committee. Andrew has been doing this production, mostly in Erin, for the last 15 years; reviews note, “The accents, the enunciation, every subtle nuance is executed to perfection.” The family, Headwaters' Refugee Sponsorship Committee is bringing to Orangeville this month, fled to Jordan from Syria early in the conflict after their village was bombed and the father was beaten for refusing to join the conflict. Sponsorship member Brian Logel says, “The cost of admission to the fundraiser will be minimal ($5) to ensure that the performance is accessible to all families, but we hope that people will contribute to the donation boxes. Hot apple cider and Christmas cookies will be served at the intermission and donations will be most appreciated.” The reading will take place on Monday, December, 14th at 7 p.m. at St. Marks Anglican Church in Orangeville.
