There is a different theme each week, with songs, finger plays and a story. Please join us. The Paws to Read program is on Tuesdays from 3.45 to 4.45 p.m. Your child can come and read for fifteen minutes to Mac the poodle. However, you must sign up ahead of time as the time slots are filled in quite quickly. Children are also enjoying the Super Readers Club on Tuesdays from 3.30 to 4.30 p.m. There is a different theme each week and a different choice of books to read, plus activities to participate in. We are also looking at having a 30 minute program of songs, nursery rhymes, and music for newborns up to two years old, once a week in the morning. For more information on these programs please call the Library at 519-925-2168   TEEN SCENE Last week, our teens played a White Pine inspired game of Guess Who? and, when that was over, we had another round of Mind readers. This game requires teens to pair up, and try and guess the same answers in a variety of subject areas! It's more challenging than you would think, but some of our teens are really in tune with each other! This week, teens will be making a giant puzzle! They will be decorating big puzzle pieces to represent the White Pine books they have been reading. Some of the books are getting rave reviews, while others are not as popular. There are lots of prizes to be won, and still plenty of time to sign up! Just drop by the library Thursday night between 6 to 7 p.m.   NEW BOOKS Fiction: The Forgotten Soldier by Brad Taylor Oblivion by Arnaldur Indridason The Piano Maker by Kurt Palka This Is Your Life, Harriet Chance! by Jonathan Evison Warriors of the Storm by Bernard Cornwell The Marble Collectors by Cecelia Ahern After She's Gone by Lisa Jackson Severed Souls by Terry Goodkind   Non-fiction: Mountain City Girls: The McGarrigle Family Album by Anna & Jane McGarrigle That lonely section of Hell by Lori Shenher Unstoppable by Bill Nye Resilience and Triumph: Immigrant Women Tell Their Stories Raising Emotionally Healthy Boys by Michael Reist White Eskimo by Stephen R.
