Title: Shelburne recognizes Community Excellence

Jeanne Cruickshank, above, received Community Excellence Award from Mayor Ken Bennington on Monday night for her 35 years dedicated to children's literacy. She can be currently found reading regularly to the Grade One students at Centennial Hylands Public School. She also started the Sunday Reading program at the Public Library.

Bill Gillam, owner of Shelburne Home Hardware, below, was also recognized for his efforts in raising $12,500 which went towards local schools' breakfast clubs.
