The event featured Jamie McAlpine, who kept the audience entertained with slides and informative discussion about his trip to Vietnam. Other patrons who were on the trip also added some interesting details during the afternoon. In addition to the exciting presentation the Library chefs, a.k.a. Rose, Jade, Bev and Trudy, cooked up a Vietnamese feast to the delight of all who attended. Vietnamese salads, pot stickers, crackers and banana cake rounded out the menu. Nancy Frater from BookLore, always so supportive of our library events, contributed Spring Rolls and thanked Jamie for his great talk. It was a fun afternoon and much appreciated by the audience who put in requests for us to hold these types of events once a month!   New Books:   We have just ordered another copy of The Illegal by Lawrence Hill, since we have 10 holds on our copy. We should be able to meet the demands shortly.   Fiction Without a Trace by Lesley Pearse Buying on Time by Antanas Sileika The Three Sisters Bar & Hotel by Katherine Govier Recipes for Love and Murder by Sally Andrew The Absolution by Jonathan Holt The Steel Kiss by Jeffery Deaver Goodbye to the Dead by Brian Freeman Husband and Wife by Leah Stewart The Dressmaker by Rosalie Ham War Room by Chris Fabry Cometh the Hour by Jeffrey Archer   Non-fiction The New Easy by Donna Hay Janusz Zurakowski: Legend in the Skies by Bill Zuk The Lost Tudor Princess by Alison Weir Your Personal Paleo Code by Chris Kresser Andy Warhol was a Hoarder by Claudia Kalb Elon Musk by Ashlee Vance Free Days with George by Colin Campbell Tell it to the World by Eliott Behar --------------------------------------------------- Images: --------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- Post date: 2016-04-16 00:36:26 Post date GMT: 2016-04-16 04:36:26 Post modified date: 2016-04-16 00:36:26 Post modified date GMT: 2016-04-16 04:36:26 ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Export of Post and Page as text file has been powered by [ Universal Post Manager ] plugin from www.gconverters.com
