Shelburne Legion NewsBy Lesa Peat The new Bingo board is up and running. We are still working on broadcasting the numbers off of the large screen TV. We appreciate your patience while we work through all the glitches. The old Bingo system has gone to the Orangeville Legion to try to help them generate some revenue towards their branch. Thursday evening is our Sports night with Euchre beginning at 7 p.m. and darts, as well as pool available. Friday the 13th is another Red Friday Wing Night and back by popular demand to entertain us is Dufferin County Line Band, playing new country music. On Thursday, May 19, the Ladies Auxiliary will be serving up Spaghetti and Meat Balls with Caesar Salad for the low price of $7. Lunch begins at 11.30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Registration for the doubles Horse Shoe tournament in Everett on May 28 closes on May 20. If you would like to join in please contact the branch. We will be having our second annual Crokinole tournament on Sunday May 22, with registration at 12 noon. Play begins at 1 p.m. The Golf tournament at Dunadel Golf Course in Dundalk has been booked for September 20. The sign-up sheet for this will be up soon. Don't miss out on this event and sign up early as it has been full the past three years. To all of our Comrades that are going camping this weekend, we hope you all have a great weekend, stay warm and watch out for the black flies. There will be NO wings on May 27. We are switching the dates and will resume on June 3 with entertainment by DJs Robbie and Rodney. |
