Shelburne Farmers’ Market now open

Things are getting fresh in Shelburne.

The Shelburne Farmers' Market – the only local farmers' market located on an actual farm! – is now open.

Conveniently located within walking distance from town, at the Besley Country Market, northwest corner of County Road 11 and 30th Sideroad, this farm to table market has everything you need to prepare fresh and tasty meals for your family this summer.

With over 15 vendors – selling everything from meat and vegetables, to fruit, bread, and cheese and even plants and preserves – you can't go wrong by stopping in.

Bring the kids for face painting, balloon animals and interaction with live animals like alpacas and horses.

“Serve your family some of our regions finest foods for any meal of the day, baked goods, peameal bacon and granolas for breakfast; salads, breads and fruits for lunch or beef, elk, lamb, potatoes and vegetables for dinner,” said Christine Patton, Market Manager, Shelburne Farmers' Market. “Everything is right at your fingertips and offered by knowledgeable growers and producers.”

The grand opening of the new market was well received last Thursday with dignitaries from the municipal, county and provincial level of government in attendance.

The Shelburne Farmers' Market is yours to discover every Thursday this summer from 3 – 7 p.m.

“So grab your family and arrange to meet up with friends Thursday afternoons at the new Shelburne Farmers' Market,” said Patton.
