It is just one of several delicious products the vendor sells each week at the Market's location at First and Owen Sound Street. Bell's Edge Farm is a small scale farm between Bell's Creek and the Saugeen River near Harriston. The farmers at Bell's Edge believe there is “a balance” that can be achieved between large and small scale farming. Currently, they say “the balance is tipping far too much towards a few large farms running the show.”A similar sentiment was raised to the Shelburne Free Press recently in regards to large investment farming in our area. The company also sells their award winning “Free Ranger” – an “innovative, mobile, green roof, backyard chicken coop.” With a “grow better, not bigger” philosophy, Belle's is aiming for sustainability, producing high quality products for a local market from their location at 9492 Wellington Road. Delicious herbed butters and pesto can be purchased at Belle's Edge booth every Thursday from 3-7pm at the Shelburne Farmer's Market.
