Title: Local Boys win provincial tourney

 LOCAL BOYS PLAY ON PROVINCIAL TOURNAMENT WINNING TEAM – On Saturday, August 20 and Sunday, August 21, the Arthur Junior Merchants Select Squirt Team participated in the Squirt Boys Select Provincials OASA/OSSTA tournament held in Newmarket. 12 teams and over 150 players competed representing Arthur, Newmarket, Unionville, Grantham, Baden, Bradford, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Topham Park, Bracebridge, Orleans, Cambridge, and Frontenac. The Arthur Merchants, coached by Kevin Bultena, finished as Gold Medal Champions, winning all six of their games. Luke Peterson and Brice Matthews, who play in the Bluewater Minor Softball Association, are members of the Arthur Junior Merchants Select Squirt team. Luke won MVP after pitching Game #3 against Topham Park. Luke attends Centennial Hylands Elementary School in Shelburne and Brice attends school in Dundalk. SUBMITTED PHOTO
