Music is integral at new place of worshipBy Michelle Janzen Pastor Gavin Sullivan says his journey to become a Pastor began fifteen years ago and, along the way, he has grown and matured in his thinking and daily works. Recently, Pastor Sullivan opened the Primrose Christian Centre, which is affiliated with the Go and Tell the Word Ministries, with its headquarters located in Oakville, ON. Go and Tell the Word Ministries was founded by the Bishop Ali on May 31, 1981 in India as he tracked his roots and family history, and was asked to preach for the first time in a little mission church in a town called Fizabad. Ten years later, Go and Tell the Word Ministries was formed. On August 16, 1992 the Oakville Christian Centre was established. 2009 saw another Centre opening in St Catharines, followed by the 2014 opening of a Centre in U.P. India. The Primrose Centre is the latest in what is becoming a faithful following of their teachings. Pastor Sullivan tell us he enjoys preaching the gospel and feels that each time you attend a church service you should walk away with the feeling of having learned at least one thing. When asked what Religion the Primrose Christian Church is, he states to us “The Primrose Christian Centre is a full gospel church which combines a little Pentecostal, Gospel, Baptist as well as other forms Religion that all believe in Genesis to Revolution, which is the full bible.” With a keyboard, a drum set and sound board set up inside the Centre, the Pastor tells us music plays a big role in his teachings and he is hopeful to start a choir in the near future. The mandate of the Go and Tell the Word Ministries is simple: to spread the uncompromised Word of God into the entire world. “Wednesday evenings starting at 7 p.m. sharp our Bible, andPrayer and Share takes place at the chapel and usually goes until 8.30 p.m.,” Pastor Sullivan tells the Shelburne Free Press. “Our Praise and Worship starts at 10 a.m. sharp every Sunday and runs between an hour and an hour and a half in length and Sunday School is available.” Primrose Christian Centre is located at 506195 Hwy 89, Unit 3, in the Primrose Plaza and they can be contacted at 226-200-0843. |
