Catch the Honey & Garden Festival “buzz”

Story and Photo by Wendy Gabrek

Spring is here and that means that the Beeton Honey & Garden Festival is just around the corner.

On Saturday, May 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., over 190 vendor booths will line the quaint Victorian Main Street of Beeton, offering unique merchandise for the home, garden and you – from perennials to pastries, fashion to farm produce, golf balls to garden tools.

Back this year is the Antique Alley. Visit these booths for vintage finds and restored wonders.

The International Marketplace offers clothing, textiles, crafts and more from exotic locales around the world.

Shift your focus to the outdoors with the help of vendors offering all things garden related, from seasonal decor, to plants, to gardening supplies. The creations of talented local artists are on display for sale at the SSAC Artist & Artisans Marketplace.

Car enthusiasts will love the Classic Car and Truck Show.

Enjoy live entertainment at the Muddy Water bandshell; visit the Free Family Fun Zone and enjoy a variety of activities for all ages including our giant inflatable obstacle course; have your Tarot Cards read; get a Henna tattoo; enjoy the magic show; and bring an appetite and savour an eclectic array of foods including fresh cut fries, poutine, Philly steak sandwiches, fish tacos, Caribbean jerk, Indian food, pizza, souvlaki, gelato, fresh fudge, sno cones, kettlecorn, mini donuts, and fresh squeezed lemonade!

Join the Beeton Firefighters first thing for breakfast, and don't forget to visit the honey producers for some delicious local honey!
