NDBL All–Star Game July 7thThe heritage park of Mansfield will see the best players of the North Dufferin Baseball League perform during the annual All-Star Games on Sunday, July 7. Almost four decades have passed since the Mansfield Cubs hosted this annual event, the last in 1975. The day features two games between the senior division and junior division of the league. The senior all-stars will take to the field at 1 p.m. in the classic East division versus West division format. Players selected for the East division include: Chris Fafalios, Chris Rettie, and Stephen Vallee from Aurora, Mac Sealy and Kevin Whittle from Barrie, Shawn Chalmers, Nick Hodgson, Mark Horan, and Pat Warden representing Bolton Brewers, Jon Bloomfield and Michael Gemmiti of Bolton Dodgers, Chris Arthurs, Cale McLean, and Jason Seeler from Midland, Eric Jones and Jeff Pyne from Nobleton, Ryan Hutchinson, J.D. McGivern, Jeff Shilling, and Chad Watters of Orillia. Managing will be Bolton Brewers Paul Cararelli, coaches Carl Heath of Orillia and Michael Keon from Aurora. West division representatives are: Kevin Khan and Kyle Warren from Angus, Trsitan Cabral, Corey Ramirez, and Andrew White of Barrie, Jeff Akitt, Tom Gateman, and Chris Greer of Creemore, Mike Kazienko, Dave Reid, Phil Tan, and David White from Ivy, Kris Allary and Shane Walker representing Lisle, Lance Bryan, Tyler Linger, and Brad Pendleton from Mansfield, Allan Brownridge, Brandon Norrie, and Sean Thompson of New Lowell. New Lowell's Jesse McIntyre will manage the team with coaches Rob Perkins of Creemore and Ken Winch of Clearview. The junior division will play their game at 4 p.m. and features two teams made up of a combination of players from the six team junior loop, pitting teammate against teammate. Selected for team “Dingers” are: Jon Cholak, Mac Sealy, and Dave Blanch from Alliston, Logan Karse, John Luscombe, and Cole Tomlinson from Barrie, Jamie Gillespie, Jamie Hanna, and Kevin Minard from Creemore, Paul Bishop, Jordan Meunier, and Michael Walley of Innisfil, Nick Boyd, Cody Ploughman, and Scott Seymour from Orillia, Brett Jones, Cody O'donnell, Tanner Zeggil from Stayner. Team manager is Dave Armstrong while Andy Van der Heyden of Creemore and Gord Zeggil of Stayner will coach. Team “Giants” will include: Damien Allison, Geoff Campbell, and Adrian Reid from Alliston, Joey Armstrong, Brandon Hurst, and Zach Scragg from Barrie, Kurt Roy, Adam Van der Heyden, Brandon Watson of Creemore, Alex Daniels, Dan Morningstar, amd Logan Wall from Innisfil, Eddie Cruise, Nathan Dix, and Aaron White of Orillia, Lucas Day, Liam Gray, and Cole Quinlan from Stayner. Managing will be Richard Boyd from Orillia, coaches Andrew McLean of Innisfil and Colin Iddison of Alliston. Located on site will be a licensed beer garden and food concession. |
