Fiddlefest – it’s coming!

The 63rd Annual Canadian Open Old Time Fiddle Championship is set to take place in Shelburne starting next Wednesday, August 7th. Can you feel the anticipation?

Residents and tourists alike are busy making plans, trying to map out their schedules to ensure they don't miss their favorite competitors and getting in on the fiddle-fun at home too.

Shelburne will be all things fiddle over the next two weeks, and the Free Press is committed to bringing you the best local coverage of this prestigious national event.

In this issue, there are several articles related to Fiddlefest, including how fiddles are made and why Shelburne has taken on a fiddling identity.

Next week, look for our double page centre spread, which will include a map of Fiddle Contest events and even more stories related to this popular contest.
