This page was exported from Shelburne Free Press [ https://shelburnefreepress.ca ] Export date:Thu Nov 21 20:34:55 2024 / +0000 GMT ___________________________________________________ Title: Construction scheduled for six municipal roadways --------------------------------------------------- Written By Paula Brown Local Journalism Initiative Reporter The Town of Shelburne will have a number of roads and intersections undergo resurfacing work beginning next week.  Six municipal roadways will be worked on as part of a program run by the Town annually, in order to maintain current infrastructure and address road conditions.  In a notice issued earlier this month, the Town said the work will include milling and removal of existing roadway material and the placement of new asphalt.  Roadways included in the resurfacing project including: Second Avenue East (William Street to Owen Sound Street intersection), Robert Street (Jelly Street North to 460 Robert Street), James Street North (Foodland Entrance to First Ave., including intersection), Sarah Court (end of cul-de-sac to James Street), Andrew Street (James Street to Dufferin Street), and Laneway (South of Main Street between Jelly Street and Dufferin Street).  As a result of the construction, the Town said there will be higher traffic in areas and there is a potential for noise to be heard related to construction during scheduled times.  Residents in the resurfacing locations were asked to remove their vehicles from the roadways prior to Sept. 13.  The resurfacing projects are scheduled to run from Sept. 27 until Oct. 15 and will occur during the hours of 7 a.m. and7 p.m. Residents with question regarding the resurfacing projects can contact Public Works co-ordinator, Joanne Marceau, at 519-925-2699 ext. 221 or at jmarceau@shelburne.ca.  --------------------------------------------------- Images: --------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- Post date: 2021-09-23 12:12:24 Post date GMT: 2021-09-23 16:12:24 Post modified date: 2021-09-23 12:12:29 Post modified date GMT: 2021-09-23 16:12:29 ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Export of Post and Page as text file has been powered by [ Universal Post Manager ] plugin from www.gconverters.com
