Shelburne business, Wine on a Dime, expands to EverettOwners of Wine on A Dime, Nancy and Bart Malloy are pleased to announce they will be opening a second location soon at 8069 Main St. in Everett on August 6th. In today's economy, this family run business, is proving with hard work, one can reap the benefits of a thriving business and in this case enjoy the fruits of their labour. Making your own wine adds a personal touch to any occasion as well as lightening the financial load, making approximately thirty bottles from a wine kit that can start at only $58.48. With a selection of different kits from all over world including Italy, California, and Australia, the biggest problem is choosing which wonderful wine to make. Fortunately the Malloy's are on hand to help with the process from start to finish ensuring a positive brewing/fermenting experience, beginning with the Malloy's son, Quinton, who answers phones and greets customers getting customers started in the right direction. Bart Malloy has been making his own wine for many years and his wife, Nancy, explained how the business got started. “Bart and I love wine. It's a process, we know, but we love making wine. Everyone always commented on how wonderful our wine was when we served it to guests and they always suggested we open a store and so eventually we did. We've been here three years already.” Malloy says there are many benefits to making your own wine including the “green” aspect of recycling bottles and the use of fewer preservatives. Customers have options as well. Whether one chooses to purchase the kit and go through the process at home or prefers to have their wine brewed on site, the outcome is the same as customers get a fabulous product at the end of the day. Malloy mentions, “A lot of customers are repeats and we seem to get new customers each week, which is great.” And why not? This cost effective option of wine making is catching on, so much so that all of this will be available at the second location in Everett at 8069 Main St, on August 6th for customer's shopping convenience. And just think: It all started in Shelburne! For more information contact Wine On A Dime at 141 Main St. W in Shelburne or call 519-925-1020. By Alex Sher |
