Fiddleville Street Market – it’s not too late to book your table With Shelburne's hustle and bustle over the building excitement of Fiddleville approaching, the local B.I.A (Business Improvement Association) , is also working hard behind the scenes to ensure business is booming and this year the street market promises to be diverse, attracting business far and away to Shelburne. Part of the BIA's focus is to improve business in Shelburne while exposing new businesses to Shelburne from surrounding areas, therefore those renting tables for the Street Market will have businesses outside the allocated geographical area of the BIA. The Market will be on William Street between Highway 9 and First Street. Table rental is $40 for a 10X10 space. The street market will open at 9a.m and run until 4p.m on Saturday, August 10th. Brenda Marshall, owner of Pazazz Ladies Fashions & Accessories is organizing the street market on behalf of the BIA and had this to say, “We will have some Shelburne businesses and other businesses from outside the Shelburne area such as Toronto, Flesherton, Grand Valley, Melancthon, Bowmanville, Wallaceburg, Alliston, and there are still businesses signing up.” Quite a diverse selection of business will be in attendance as there will be jewelry makers, wood crafters, handmade and knitted goods, hats, dried meats, kettle corn, ice cream treats, Real Estate services, and a special reminder the Shelburne Soccer Club will be hosting a BBQ to raise money for their club. The hope and intention of the BIA is to expose Shelburne for the wonderful city it is and with Main Street so close, the crowds will be drawn to Shelburne's own businesses while taking part in Fiddleville, an excellent business strategy promising great shopping excitement for all who attend.
