Kyle Fegan, chair of the Canada Day Festival Committee. “Canada Day has always been one of the largest celebrations that we have in Shelburne. This year will still be a little bit laid back compared to what we normally have, but we are excited to have the community come out.”  The Canada Day celebrations will kick off at Fiddle Park at 4 p.m. with a car show in collaboration with Orangeville based group North Rides.  A new edition to the Shelburne Canada Day celebrations, the car show will feature much more than just classics including trucks, tuners, muscle cars, and off-road vehicles.  Those interested in participating in the car show must register prior to the event through the Town of Shelburne website.  Entertainment for the night will see a return performance from country/rock band Settler's Creek, who will be playing from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m.  “They're a phenomenal band. They performed for us at the last street festival we held and were a great crowd pleaser; everyone seemed to have a great time,” said Fegan.  To wrap the evening up, the Town will be putting on fireworks show.  “We have a great fireworks display, that was our main focus,” said Fegan. “Prices have skyrocketed quite a bit so the display might not be over the top as compared to the last one we had, but we're going to try to be as close to it as possible. The Town of Shelburne Canada Day event will run from 4 p.m. until 1 p.m. on July 1.  --------------------------------------------------- Images: --------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- Post date: 2022-06-23 12:43:31 Post date GMT: 2022-06-23 16:43:31 Post modified date: 2022-06-23 12:43:40 Post modified date GMT: 2022-06-23 16:43:40 ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Export of Post and Page as text file has been powered by [ Universal Post Manager ] plugin from www.gconverters.com
