Albertan country singing sensation Dan Davidson will be taking the stage in Shelburne next month for his upcoming show in the 2022 HMF Concert Series.

“We're very excited to finally bring Dan Davidson to Shelburne. We wanted him in 2020 and had to cancel two years in a row because of obvious reasons, so we're very happy to welcome him,” said Bobbi Ferguson, co-president of Shelburne Rotary. “I think most people will recognize a number of his songs. I'm sure the community is looking forward to the music, and just being able to sing, dance and enjoy getting together again.”

Davidson exploded onto the Canadian country scene in 2016 with the release of his second single “Found”, which was a #1 selling Canadian county song for several weeks.

Most recently, his single “Roll With It” (2021) featuring The Road Hammers was released in Australia and “Really Shouldn't Drink Around You” (2022) featuring Hayley Jensen debuted at #7 on the Australian charts.

His album “6 Songs To Midnight” was released in February.

Over five years, Davidson has garnered a number of accolades including six CCMA nominations, 10 ACMA awards, a gold record, top 20 charting numbers, and a #1 selling Canadian song.

Davidson has played over 200 shows across seven countries including China, France, Italy and Hungary.

Opening for Davidson at the 2022 HMF Concert Series will be singer/songwriter – Jessie T.

Jessie's FACTOR funded debut album “Reckless Heart” was released in 2016, receiving fanfare on country radio stations from coast to coast.

She has shared the stage with some of Canada's top musicians including The Reklaws, James Barker Band, Michelle Wright, Paul Brandt, and Jess Moskaluke.

In 2018, she took the stage with Dallas Smith for a duo performance of his hit song “One Drink Ago”.

Her second studio album is due for release in mid 2022.

“This is the album that I've always wanted to release,” said Jessie. “I'm very excited for this new music to be heard and to share more of my stories with my fans across Canada.”

The annual Shelburne Heritage Music Festival (HMF) is the largest fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Shelburne, with proceeds raised going to various local initiatives. Funds raised from the upcoming concert will be going towards initiatives focused on food scarcity including the breakfast clubs, food bank, Feed it Forward, the Hamper Program, and other projects aimed at seniors and youth.

The Dan Davidson 2022 HMF Concert will take place on August 5 at the Centre Dufferin Recreation Complex (CDRC).

Tickets are available for purchase at local clothing store Pazazz, located at 122 Owen Sound St. and online at the Heritage Music Festival website, heritagemusicfestival.ca.
