Walking to end women’s cancers Tina Vander Veen, Andrea Whitten, Linda Logan from RBC Shelburne Branch at the finish of a 60 km weekend walk. Proud to have participated this past weekend in the Annual Weekend to End Women's Cancers benefiting the Princess Margaret Hospital. It is a 2 day, 60 km walk or 1 day, 32 km event through neighbourhoods of Toronto. The event is hosted at the Rogers Center and special appearances this year were made by Burton Cummings and Johnny Reid. In 2013, the event raised over $8 million with over 3,500 walkers. Team RBC had 137 walkers and raised over $187,000 with local walkers also from Orangeville, Fergus and Owen Sound area. Photo submitted |
