This week in police news...Shelburne Police Service responded to 89 calls for service between September 22nd and September 29th 2013. Residential B&E A home on the west side of town was entered by suspect(s) and quantity of items and change was taken. Nobody was home during this daytime entry. The investigation is continuing on this incident. RIDE spot check leads to drug possession charges During the late evening hours on Friday September 27th Shelburne officers were conducting a RIDE spot check at Main Street and Victoria Street. A Silver Ford Freestar entering the spot check caught the officer's attention which started a roadside investigation and resulted in 28 year old Michael Jenkinson of Orangeville being arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. He was released on an appearance notice with a court date in October. Mischief to Royal Bank On Monday September 23rd officers investigated an incident of graffiti on the wall of the Royal Bank in Shelburne. It was believed to have occurred between Saturday night and Monday morning.
