Employee commits fraud by crediting her own card

On Saturday, November 23rd, South Simcoe Police were called to a Bradford grocery store to meet with a loss prevention officer. Police were advised of a store security investigation regarding suspicions that an employee had been committing fraud by crediting a personal credit card for returned items which were never purchased to begin with.  Police were provided with information that confirmed the suspicions. The store employee was arrested at the scene and taken to the police station for further investigation. A 30 year old Barrie man was charged with Fraud Under $5000.00 and released from custody to appear in court at a later date to answer to the charges.
