Messages from the angels Nearly all of the world's great religions believe in angels or some form of heavenly messenger. Karen Egoff is an intuitive counsellor, reiki master and spiritual health coach who has had the gift of talking to the angels since she was a child. She didn't know other people could not see them or hear them when she was young. While her mother accepted that she saw and spoke to angels, she didn't want her to talk about it outside the family and told Karen to keep it to herself. Today, Karen travels internationally connecting people to their angels and giving them messages. She has made it her life's work. “We are never alone”, Karen says. “We all have a guardian angel that stays with us for life.” I asked Karen, who teaches locally at Cherry Valley Spiritual Healing Retreat, if the angels had any messages they would like to share with us during this festive holiday season. She said the following: “The angels are asking us to get to our authentic self. They are tired of people pretending to be something they are not and blaming others for their own problems. We need to take responsibility for our own lives. They ask us to come into the heart center and work on loving ourselves. If you cannot love and accept yourself first, you won't have healthy relationships with others. Ask your personal guardian angel to help you with this. Forget about your outer image and material things and do inner spiritual work. You are here to help each other and to be caretakers of the earth and the animals and creatures on the earth. Help your community through volunteer work. Switch to solar power. Say no to GMO products. Reduce the garbage on the planet. Reuse and recycle goods. Use natural products. Work with nature and not against her. In the New Year, there will be increasing solar flares and new stars will be born. The angels are asking you to spread love and joy and to be a star yourself. Be a star and brightly shine your soul's light and not your diamond's light.
