Shelburne Library news HOLIDAY HOURS Closed December 22 to January 5 inclusive We re-open on Monday, January 6, 2014 Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a Happy and Healthy New Year to you and your loved ones from All the Staff and Volunteers Be sure to come in before December 22 to stock up on books for reading during the holiday. I have my pile all selected and know that I am going to be spending many cozy days and evenings reading! I'm especially looking forward to Catherine Bush's new book, Accusation. I also have a huge number of catalogues to start placing orders for the new and upcoming spring titles. Pizza & Pages, Our Teens Book Club: The Teens will be meeting on December 19th at 6 p.m. for a lively discussion about the two books they are reading – The Whipping Boy and the Wolves of Willoughby Chase. Do come out and join in and enjoy a slice of pizza with the others. Children's Programs: Our Story Time will be up and running on Friday, January 10th at 10:30 a.m. and Toddler Time will be starting on Tuesday, January 14th at 10:30 a.m. This will be an exciting start to the New Year for our children with songs, stories and crafts they will enjoy. Lego Club… finally!!: The news all our youngsters have been waiting for. The first meeting of our LEGO club is on Wednesday, January 22nd from 3:30 to 5 p.m. The club is geared to children, boys and girls ages 6 to 12. We will have lots of fun so be sure and register at the library. Focus On Seniors: Both of our Focus on Seniors Volunteers, Cathy and Anne have been very busy making sure all our Senior patrons in our Home Outreach program and at Dufferin Oaks and Shelburne Residence have lots of reading material over the holidays. If you know of anyone who would still like to participate in the Home delivery program, please call and we will set that up for you. Now that the weather is a little more wintery and driving and walking are quite difficult, this is one way of having new books or magazines come to your home. Call 519-925-2168.
