Theatre Collingwood presents, ‘All You Need is Love’ Feb. 8thTheatre Collingwood is thrilled to present a one-night-only fund-raising production of All You Need is LOVE – A Valentine's Cabaret, on Saturday, February 8th at 7:30 p.m. at The Historic Gayety Theatre. Join Theatre Collingwood, Artistic Producer Erica Angus, Musical Director Greg Gibson and 14 of some of Canada's most talented musical theatre performers for “ALL You Need Is LOVE – A Valentine's Cabaret!” for a celebration of music and love, just in time for Valentine's Day! “Some people will not necessarily know the names of the performers but they will know the shows they were in, such as CATS, The Phantom of the Opera, Anne of Green Gables, Jesus Christ Superstar and Forever Plaid. These amazing talents have performed for Mirvish, Shaw, Stratford, Broadway and more. I am actually blown away by the level of talent and I encourage everyone to not miss this very special night in Collingwood”, said Erica Angus. We have collected a company of Canada's most talented performers – who have performed on stages all over the world - to present an unforgettable evening of wonderful music at The Historic Gayety Theatre”, said Greg Gibson. This 90 minute cabaret style production will be followed by what is becoming a very popular Theatre Collingwood tradition, “The Red Carpet Reception”! Those purchasing Red Carpet tickets receive a partial tax receipt, premium seating, wine tasting, and for this event there will be various chocolate themed stations provided by a variety of Collingwood restaurants and retailers. The event will take place in the art gallery at the Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts. The cast and crew from this production will also attend the reception with our Red Carpet guests. Funds raised through this event will greatly assist Theatre Collingwood in the production of its 2014 season. ”This year marks Theatre Collingwood's 30th Anniversary and this production is the beginning of what we believe will be a fantastic year,” said Harold Bickerstaff, Theatre Collingwood Chair. “We have a magnificent summer season planned as well as a number of one-night only productions in the spring, fall and winter, realizing our dream of becoming a year round company.
