Animal Communicator Sheila Trecartin

Sheila Trecartin has a unique and special gift. She is an Animal Communicator. She has had this ability since she was a child and has helped thousands of people communicate with their pets over the years.

Sheila grew up in a log cabin in northern Ontario. Her older siblings had already left home when she was young. She was alone for the most part with no one else to talk to except the animals. “I would find birds, rabbits, squirrels and even snakes to talk too. I would talk to them telepathically and get impressions back from them”. She also grew up with dogs and cats and would actively communicate with them as well. She had no idea that no one else was able to do this. When she became aware that she was unusual with this ability, she hid her skills until she was about eighteen years old. She simply could not shut out her gift any longer.

After getting a degree in business, she gravitated back to the animals and developed a course on how to communicate with them. Humankind had long ago been able to do this but somehow had lost the ability. Sheila realized her life path was to reconnect people to animals and teach them to treat all of God's creatures with love and respect. She has taught all over the United States and Canada and twice now in South Africa.

Sheila opened Ultimate Healing Concepts in Cookstown in 2010. People have come from all over and have brought pets of all kinds to see her. They come for a number of reasons, especially for health and behavioural reasons or to connect with beloved pets that have passed on. Sheila will talk to any animal or reptile or bird or creature. She also teaches courses on animal communication so people can talk to their own pets. I was told we all have this ability. I had heard of her incredible gift to communicate with the animals and was told how good she was. I decided to go and see Sheila for myself and bring my cat Emily for her to talk too.

I adopted Emily at Furry Friends animal shelter in Barrie where I worked as a volunteer. She was scheduled to be put down when Furry Friends rescued her. She was a shy, skittish little tabby and I loved her at first sight. I wanted to see what Sheila could pick up about her. Sheila explained that animals communicate telepathically using mind thoughts, feelings and pictures. She told me that Emily liked the box with the bed in it. I did have a fluffy cushion inside of a cardboard box and that served as Emily's bed. She also loved the chair with arms. That chair sits beside my computer desk and it is where she loves to lie especially when I'm on the computer. Emily showed Sheila that she didn't like chicken and she doesn't. Whenever I put down chicken cat food, she won't eat it. She prefers seafood. Emily showed Sheila that I like to read in bed a lot and she likes to hear the stories. It is the only time Emily ever curls up with me, whenever I am in bed reading a book. She also let Sheila know she liked the cheese treats that looked like fish. I couldn't understand what she was talking about. I didn't have any cat food or treats that matched that description. When I got home, I opened my son's lunch bag and then I saw the Goldfish crackers I packed for snacks when he was at school. I remembered then that I caught Emily licking the cheese fish snacks from Ian's open lunch box on more than one occasion. I explained to Sheila that Emily would urinate in her litter box but would drop her stool behind the litter box. She would not use the litter box for this. Nothing I tried worked. I asked Sheila to ask her why and what I could do to make her use the litter box. Emily showed Sheila that she liked to be clean and she liked her privacy. She would use another litter box for stool if I cut up strips of clean newspaper and lined the litter box with that and put it in the garage. I did it, and it worked. She finally used the other litter box in the garage with the newspaper in it. Sheila described health problems Emily has with sore teeth and spasms in the colon and she was right about that as well. I was told that Emily loved me and was happy I adopted her and she trusted me. Sheila taught me that animals really do communicate with us and that they are highly intelligent beings. I have not looked at an animal the same way since and now I always wonder what they are thinking or what they are trying to tell us.

Sheila shared the following on an animal's perception of life and death:

Being an animal communicator I am blessed with the ability to get inside animal's minds and to understand truly how they think. You may be surprised to learn that our pets are far more aware of what is happening in their lives than we give them credit for. Their awareness bridges far beyond simple things like food and play. Many are aware of the type of work or study their owners are involved in. Some are highly concerned about the emotional wellbeing and physical health of their people family. All are highly in tune to the love and care, that special bond they share, with those close to them.

In my many encounters with all types of pets I have noted that animals view life as a learning experience. Many of them speak of assisting people in their growth. Others talk about their importance of learning and the value of their contribution to the world. There is also the conclusion that animals are here as healers, to aid us in mending our physical and emotional bodies. And we thought they were here mainly for our companionship – not so! They play a much more significant role in our lives. Of course it is noted that their love is real and true and always unconditional. This is a huge part of the bond we share with our special animal friends.

Animals understand the cycle of life and death. They do not fear death as we often do. Animals know that the crossing is not final. They understand that it is a vital and necessary step in their journey of evolution and growth.

I am honored to have communicated with many animals that were seriously ill and ready to pass. They all welcome death without fear. All of them express a clear understanding of what will happen to them. All of the animals are oddly at peace and openly accept death. They feel that it is part of the “plan” and the next welcoming step.

All of the pets in spirit who have shared their thoughts with me have but one very real worry. This worry is for their families, the people in their lives that mean so very much to them. It is here where they feel the pain and sorrow connected to the separation. They do not wish to harm or cause pain to their family and they all express a wish for their beloved people to understand that death is not the end. It is very hard for us to grasp since to our human world death is the end, it is final! How different we would feel if we changed our perception of life and death to match that of our pets.

Imagine for a moment that death isn't the end. Imagine it is another realm, a realm where there is a fine veil between worlds. Where two hearts that bond remain connected. Imagine that your beloved pet crosses the rainbow bridge and is free of all physical pain and is whole again. They are free to run and play. Although as humans we must grieve, you may find some comfort in knowing your special pet is not far away, they are watching over you and sending you their love.

If you have a pet you would like to communicate with, you can contact Sheila on her Ultimate Healing Concepts website at www.sheilatrecartin.com. She is also a gifted animal healer and has a wide range of healing services for people as well.
