Thankful for local doctorsDear editor: Last week I had occasion to visit the Mel Loyd Centre for a doctor's appointment. I‘m so impressed with the new setup, and I'm sure I speak for many others in the community to give thanks to Dr. Horvat for her help in improving our situation. Each doctor seems to have a nurse in attendance and everyone is happy and cheerful... (not so in years past). I've been a resident of this area for 12 years and it was not unusual to have to sit in the waiting room for hours only to have doctor the tell you that you had a maximum of 15 minutes to state your problem and if you had more than a few questions you had to make another appointment. It's a big plus for shelburne to finally have access to doctors and the lab in the same building. Nora Seper, Shelburne |
