Fire at rear of Giant Tiger – two youths chargedShelburne and District Fire Department and Shelburne Police responded to a fire at the rear of Giant Tiger on First Avenue on Wednesday May 7th. A garbage dumpster located in the parking lot, about 20 feet from the building had burned further causing damage to some maple trees close by. The investigation revealed that the fire was set purposefully and resulted in two Shelburne teenagers being arrested and charged with Arson under the criminal code. One of the teenager's was also charged with Fail to Comply with Youth Probation Order. The identities of the youth involved are protected under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. |
