Title: OPP search for suspicious vehicle in Melancthon

On May 8, Dufferin OPP were dispatched to a report of suspicious person and vehicle on Church Street in the Village of Hornings Mills in Amaranth Township. Preliminary Investigation reveals that a 13 year old pedestrian was followed by a vehicle from the Church Street to Main street, then south on Main Street toward River Road. Vehicle drove alongside the pedestrian. The pedestrian fled into driveway and later walked out of the driveway and was followed by the vehicle again. The vehicle fled southbound on Main Street toward County Rd 124. Vehicle Description: white 4 door mid sized very rusty sedan. Suspect Description: male mid-late 40's with medium / tan complexion, curly hair to around the ears wearing square style glasses,facial hair, but no moustache and was wearing a grey T-shirt. Police are asking anyone with information in relation to this vehicle or the driver to please contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
