Shelburne Legion newsThis Wednesday June 4th our Vets will be getting together to discuss plans for the 70th anniversary of D Day on June 6th. June 7th Little Peter and The Elegants will be entertaining for our 50s/60s dance. The doors will open at 7 p.m. and we will be serving hamburgers and fries at 7:30 p.m., the band will start playing at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 each, and available at the branch or at the door that night. There will be a prize for the best dressed from the era. Monday June 9th we have Euchre, play begins at 2 p.m. Followed by Bingo in the evening. Friday the 13th will be a wing night with entertainment by The Pedestrians. The 14th is Heritage day with a car show and a show and shine up town. The Legion will be serving breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon and the a BBQ from 4 – 7 p.m. with entertainment by DJ Sassy Sandra until 10 p.m. The branch is excited about this coming year, we have a new group involved in our executive. Fresh ideas are underway, committees are being formed. If you are interested in joining a committee, please leave your name and number at the branch. |
