Great results from ‘12 Week Challenge’

The results are in and they speak for themselves. Congratulations to the participants of our “Second” Towne Fitness 12 Week Results Challenge who reached their goal weight; Travis Russell – 20lbs, Laura Russell – 11 lbs, Patricia Sheardown – 20.4 lbs, Christine Coulter-Pope – 15 lbs and Cherie Sample – 11 lbs. A really great effort from all of our participants. Not everyone has 20, 30, 40 for more lbs to lose. For some it is that last 10 lbs that seems impossible to get rid of. Working out is great, but if you really want results – you need support, motivation and a plan. Each of our participants signed a pledge at the start of the Challenge. Basically, they agreed to choose a realistic weight loss goal, track their nutrition and exercise and share their journey with their family and friends as well as on our closed Facebook Page. More importantly, they agreed to be accountable for a weekly weigh-in as well as bi-weekly measurements. This is the accountability portion of the Challenge and one of the key factors in helping our participants reach their goals. We chose the 12 week time period as it really allows the participants the time to develop good eating and exercise habits. We shared some really great recipes, lots of information about the food we eat and discovered some new nutrition facts, too. This also flows over and affects those around us in a positive way as we teach our families about our new nutrition choices. The Towne Fitness 12 Week Results Challenge is all about making a change in your life. It is about the start of a healthier lifestyle and a commitment to your health. This is just the beginning of the journey for many of our Challengers with some making the commitment to complete a second 12 Week Results Challenge in the Fall. Our 3rd Towne Fitness 12 Week Results Challenge is under way with our first weigh in last week. We wish all of our new “Challengers” as much success as our First and Second participants. Be sure to congratulate these members and encourage them if you see them in the gym. Also, don't be afraid to ask questions about their journey. Their stories are truly inspirational.
