Shelburne Has Talent

There were 12 entries at the Shelburne Canada Day Talent Contest; six in the under 12 category and four in the 13 and over category. The young talent kept the audience entertained for the afternoon with everything from singing to a musical trick-basketball performance. First place winner in the 12 and under category, seen here, is Unique DeKrigger, who sang “I Can See Clearly Now” and “The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow” for her two selections. Second place winner was Madison Ross. In the 13 and over category Emily Wamboldt and Cassie Bagin, in the photo, stunned the audience with their synchronized acrobatic ballet routine performed on the floor of the arena. Second place winner was singer Holli Ward. Emcee and sound man Greg Holmes, his wife Heather and daughter Mallory did a great job running the contest; judges included CAO John Telfer and LP Stage Productions directors and producers Alison Port and Dale Lundy.
