Schomberg's 1st male
ambassador sought

The ambassador records indicate that Mike Ray was the Schomberg Fair Ambassador 1997. Some people seem to think his name might have been Mike Wray or possibly Harris. We would like to correct the records if indeed they are incorrect but we would also like to contact Mike to perhaps encourage some other young men to participate in this contest that will be coming up in a couple of months. If you are “the” Mike we are looking for or know of him please contact Cyndy Rowlands at 905-939-7158 the Schomberg Agricultural Society would love to hear from you.

Dufferin
Marsh Committee

Nature Conservancy Canada and the Dufferin Marsh Committee invite you to a winter workshop to learn about the forest birds of the Happy Valley Forest and Pottageville Swamp area. There will be presentations on birds in the area, why they are declining and what you can do to conserve important habitats. The highlight will be a talk by York University professor Bridget Stutchbury, author of “Silence of the Songbirds” and “The Bird Detective.” You're sure to leave with a wealth of information.
There will be displays, hand-outs and door prizes!
Lunch will be provided and then we invite you to join us on a walk (or snowshoe) to the new Love Mountain nature reserves in Happy Valley Forest. You can come for a portion or the entire event.
