Title: Stunt driver charged in Mono

On July 12, an officer from the Dufferin Detachment of the OPP was conducting speed enforcement in the Town of Mono. The officer observed a 2010 Ford pick up truck travelling southbound on King's Highway 10 at Dufferin County road #10 at a high rate of speed and determined that the driver was operating the vehicle at 140 km/hr in a 80 km/hr zone. As a result of the traffic stop, 23 year old male of Shelburne, was charged with Race a Motor Vehicle. The vehicle was impounded for seven days as a result of the stunt driving charge. The driver is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville at a later date.
