Rev. Gordon Horsley of Abiding Place Fellowship welcomes Father Mark Curtis to the Fiddle Church Service on behalf of the Shelburne Ministerial August. 10th.

“It is such a privilege to have him come join us,” said Rev. Horsley. Father Curtis, now an Anglican minister, was formerly known as Canada's singing priest as well as the priest of St. John's Catholic Church in Dundalk back in 1998, where he says he has “many fond memories.” Father Curtis returned to the Fiddle event this year for approximately his 10th sermon there. He first began preaching at the Shelburne Ministerial service, which combines seven area churches, back in the days of Rev. Bruce Besley. “It is always a privilege to come and share the word of God with the people,” he said. Music was led by Greg Holmes and the Shelburne Fiddlers; Joe Allingham was the pianist for the service. Speakers from the Ministerial included: Rev. Gordon Horsley, Rev. Don Hume, Rev. Stephanie Pellow, Rev. David Howes, and Rev. Bob McLellan. Churches included: Abiding Place Fellowship, St. Paul's Anglican, Bethel Bible Chapel, Trinity & Primrose United, St. John's Catholic, Grace Church of the Nazarene, and Crossroads Wesleyan Church. There were over 500 parishioners at the service, where donations of food were accepted on behalf of the Shepherd's Cupboard food bank.
