Title: OPP investigate serious collision in Melancthon

On Wednesday, September 3, Dufferin OPP were dispatched to two motor vehicle crash involving a pickup truck and bicycle on Dufferin County Road #21 between Dufferin Road 124 and 3rd Line in Township of Melancthon. Preliminary investigation reveals the westbound pickup truck and cyclist collided. The cyclist was taken to Headwaters Health Centre by Dufferin EMS with serious but non life threatening injuries and flown by Air ambulance to a Toronto area Hospital. OPP Technical Collision investigators were on scene. Police closed Dufferin County Rd #21 between County RD 124 and 3rd Line in Melancthon Township. It remained closed for several hours. Investigation is continuing and no charges have been laid.
