			<title>Centre Dufferin Royals junior basketball team compete at CWOSSA</title>

<p>The Centre Dufferin District High School Royals junior boys basketball team went to the regional Central Western Ontario Secondary Schools Association (CWOSSA) competition on Feb. 24 and 25.</p>

<p>This year the competition was held at Westside Secondary School in Orangeville.</p>

<p>The Royals had a stellar year finishing in first place in the District 4 standings as an undefeated team.</p>

<p>In the semi-final round of playoffs, the Royals defeated Emmanuel Christian High School 62-33.</p>

<p>They went on to win the District championship with a 54-38 win over Westside Secondary School on Feb. 15 to earn the right to go to CWOSSA.</p>

<p>CWOSSA competition hosts the District champion high school teams from Districts in South Central Ontario.</p>

<p>On the first day of competition, the Royals came out on top in their first game against St. David's with a 50-38 win.</p>

<p>Their second game, played later in the afternoon, had the Royals up against the team from Grey Highlands. In that game the Royals left the court with a 57-46 win, allowing them to move to the semi-final round.</p>

<p>In a close and well-played game, the Royals had to settle for a loss to Bishop Macdonell, with a 45-40 final score.</p>

<p>In the other semi-final, Galt Collegiate won 63-30 over North Park.</p>

<p>That set up the final championship game between Bishop Macdonell and Gault<br />Collegiate.</p>

<p>Bishop Macdonell won the final game 45-28 and will go on to compete at OFSSA.</p>
