The movie will be screened at Fiddle Park, 105 County Road 11, beginning at 8:30 p.m. Admission to the movie screening is free, and attendees are encouraged to arrive early, as seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The Town recommends bringing lawn chairs, blankets or cushions for comfortable viewing, along with snacks to enjoy during the screening. Released in 1996, Space Jam stars basketball legend Michael Jordan alongside the animated Looney Tunes characters in a high-stakes basketball game to save Looney Tunes from a group of alien invaders known as the Monstars. The film has remained a nostalgic family favourite for three decades, blending sports, comedy and animation into one of the most recognizable family films of the 1990s. The municipality launched expanded programming this summer following the official reopening of Fiddle Park, which now serves as a hub for concerts, festivals, family activities and more. The free events are intended to encourage residents to gather, connect and enjoy the community's newest outdoor gathering space. Public consensus was overwhelmingly positive toward the new park space, and community events in the park continue to draw large crowds to Fiddle Park. Previously, the Town of Shelburne screened the movie Sandlot, a sports comedy movie starring James Earl Jones, Mike Vitar and Patrick Renna.
