The Greater Dufferin Saddle Club (GDSC) is hosting a ‘Tack Swap and Craft, Vendor and Bake Sale' fundraiser on Sunday, May 3rd at the Shelburne Fairgrounds (377 William St.). The indoor/outdoor event benefits the Club, and enables riders of all ages, abilities, and economic circumstances to get out and do what they love – ride and compete, at a fair price! Additionally, the club is helping riders by hosting this swap (with tack being anything related to horse riding – from boots and clothing, to bridles, saddles and blankets). Often, the cost of these items alone prevents would-be talented riders from pursuing their dreams. “We are looking to have lots of people for a tack swap, so bring your extra tack and riding equipment and maybe help clear the way for some new stuff for the new season,” said GDSC vice president, Cheryl Devlin-Blasioli.
