On behalf of County Council, Shelburne Deputy Mayor, Geoff Dunlop, presents pro-golfer, David Markle, with a certificate proclaiming ‘Diabetes Day' to raise awareness for the disease. Markle, an ambassador for the Canadian Diabetes Association, is hosting a golf tournament at Shelburne Golf Club on Monday, July 27th, in support of children with Type–1 Diabetes. The event will feature several celebrities, including pro NHL players (past and present) and professional golfers who will be on the links to support the cause.
