Shelburne's First Show, Shine & Ride Motorcycle contest and fundraiser was a successful collaboration for Shelburne businesses Tattoo Addiction, 164 Squadron Canadian Air Cadets Shelburne, and the Widows Sons, (Free Mason's Motorcycle Club). The event was held during Shelburne's Annual Street Festival and Oatman's Classic Car Show. All proceeds raised by the Show, Shine & Ride event went to the Lorne Lodge MasonCHIP Child Identification Program resulting in over $200 raised. The event attracted 49 motorcyclists, and winners took home a coveted $100 gift certificate to Tattoo Addiction and a trophy. While the 164 Squadron raised money with a car bashing event where $3 got three minutes bashing a car, Tattoo Addiction ran the motorcycle contest and the Masons managed the ride to Clarksburg Legion and back. Perhaps the cutest and the youngest motorcycle enthusiast in the making, 4 yr old Jakob Barry, feeling a little set-up, is suspicious. He isn't quite sure why he is allowed to touch the beautiful motorcycle for a picture when a moment earlier he wasn't allowed; but what the heck, just a finger can't hurt and he went for it!
