The doors to the Shelburne Legion, Branch 220, will be closed for the immediate future. 

The Shelburne Legion announced its closure in a social media post on Facebook on Wednesday, Oct. 23.

“It pains me to write this, but your Shelburne Legion is closed until further notice. We hope to see you again soon,” reads the statement from the Shelburne Legion. 

A reason for the closure wasn't disclosed as of press time, and a timeline for how long the legion will remain closed has not been released. 

As a result of the closure, legion activities, including the Remembrance Day Ceremony on Nov. 11, have been put on pause.
