Nobleton skaters show off skills

The Nobleton Skating Club held a Showcase event March 23 in which the clubs CanSkaters, Power Skaters and Figure Skaters came out to show friends and family members their moves on the ice.
The club thanks all those who came out for this event to show the support of the skaters and the club. A special thanks to the Nobleton Lions Club for their generous donation that covered the lighting used during the event, Ansil Electric & Confra Construction for the donation of supplies and of course the club executive, coaches and volunteers.
There were great raffle prizes to be won along with beverages and cake for all to enjoy and celebrate the closing of another great season.
The club will be continuing on for spring at the Schomberg Trisan Centre before taking a break until September 2013 when NSC returns to the Nobleton Arena for the fall session.
An annual general meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 17 at 6 p.m. in the Curling Lounge of the Trisan Centre. Awards and certificates will be presented to skaters that placed first in our Club Competition, Canskaters included. Presentations will also be made to those skaters that have achieved gold, first dance passed and the recipient of the Debbie Adam Memorial Award will be announced. Be sure to come out and review the skating year, and to cheer on the award winners.
