In December and January Shelburne Police reported about numerous thefts and attempt thefts from unlocked vehicles in town. In total, 13 victims came forward indicating that a suspect rummaged through their vehicles while they were parked and unlocked in their driveways overnight.
The investigation had been continuing over the past few months and resulted in a Shelburne man being arrested and charged for the property crimes on Friday February 13th.
30 year old Matthew Tsiminos is facing 15 criminal charges in total. The accused has been charged with 10 counts of Theft under $5000, 3 counts of attempt theft, 1 count of possession of property obtained by crime and 1 count of breach of probation.
The accused will be answering to these charges at a court date set in March.
